ADVOCACY

Advocating for Second Chances

The Taubes Law attorneys, in addition to individual representation, are actively involved in all aspects of SECOND CHANCES causes …. for good reason:

What We Have Accomplished

To date, through commutations and parole verdicts, our team at Taubes Law have reduced 97 incarcerated citizens’ sentences by a total 1,035 years!

We Work With & Support The Following Organizations

The Visiting Room Project

The Visiting Room Project is a program that aims to shed light on the experiences of individuals serving life without parole sentences in Louisiana. The project gathers first-person testimonials from prisoners to highlight the impact of permanent imprisonment on the lives of those incarcerated.

The Sentencing Project

The Sentencing Project advocates for effective and humane responses to crime that minimize imprisonment and criminalization of youth and adults by promoting racial, ethnic, economic, and gender justice.

The Connecticut Second Look Sentencing Project

The Connecticut Second Look aims is to enact legislation that ensures that no one should remain in prison when they no longer pose a risk to society

Stop Solitary CT aims to end the use of harmful isolation against children, women and men in jails, prisons and youth facilities across Connecticut. We are also working to significantly improve conditions incarcerated people face and replace them with spaces that center humanity and rehabilitation.

Families for Justice Reform

FAMM seeks to create a more fair and effective justice system that respects our American values of individual accountability and dignity while keeping communities safe.
